Where do I park?

Where do we register/check-in Monday Morning?

  • Mother Rosalie Hill Hall on top of hill above West lot. *Dorm residents will have already checked-in on Sunday at the dorms.

Where do we eat?

  • Lunches will be served on the patio of Kroc Center for Peace and Justice.
  • For dorm residents only: Breakfast- Mon-Thurs. at Pavilion Dining; Sunday arrival dinner at Pavilion Dining.  *Optional continental breakfast on Monday in front of Mother Rosalie Hill Hall for all.
  • AP by the Sea will provide a small continental breakfast at Monday morning registration as well as morning snack breaks on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Mother Rosalie Hill Hall.

Optional dining on Campus:

  • La Gran Terraza, finer dining, reasonable cost, 11:30am-2pm.  Must make reservation.  terraza@sandiego.edu (619) 849-8205 
  • Tu Mercado for salads, sandwiches, even gelato.

Where can I get coffee, bottled water, and snacks?

  • Tu Mercado, 7:30am-6pm
  • MRH and Kroc underground parking have vending machines

Where is the Bookstore and summer operating hours?

  • Mon-Thurs: 9 am – 5 pm, Fri: 9 am – 4 pm

Where can I make copies?

Is there a pool, weight room and gym?

  • First floor of Manchester Village Apartments (the dorm.)
  • Bosley Fitness Center and the Sports Center
  • Passes cost $10 for the day or $25 for the week

  • The offices are on the first floor of the San Buenaventura Apartments.

 

REVIEW OF ON-CAMPUS DORM ACCOMMODATIONS

Single Room:

  • Single person bedroom w/ private bath in a two-bedroom apartment
  • Park in white spaces around apartments or in underground parking
  • Apartments have refrigerator & microwave
  • Towels, linens, and soap are provided for all rooms
  • Rooms do not include any extra amenities (no TV, VCR, phone, alarm clock, hair dryer, hangers, kitchen utensils.)
  • A television is located in lounge.
  • The apartments are NOT air conditioned.  The hall ways and public areas are air conditioned.
  • Spouses and family members cannot stay in dorms with attendees.
  • Laundry facilities are available with credit card vending machine. Detergent available at Tu Mercado.
  • Log on internet as USD Guest using your e-mail address. Free. Don’t use credit card to purchase a code when you first attempt to log on.
  • Vending machines are located in lounge.

Meals

All participants: 4 lunches M-Th; Monday- optional light continental breakfast at registration.  Mid morning snack break on T,W,TH.

Dorm residents: In addition to the above meals, you will receive a Dining Card at registration for Sunday Arrival dinner and Day 1, 2, 3, and 4 breakfasts. Consult Agenda for meal times.  Day 1, 2, 3, and 4  breakfasts at Pavilion begins at 7:00am. USD will offer a shuttle from dorms to Pavilion Dining at 7:20. Classes start at 8:30AM Day 1 and 8:00AM on Day 2, 3, and 4.

Please notify USD in advance of any special dietary needs or physical restrictions you may have.

 

DORM CHECK-IN/OUT

Check-in is in the lobby of the Manchester Village Apartments at the University of San Diego (located in Linda Vista). Sunday registration/check-in  with USD & AP by the Sea representatives: 4:00-6:00PM in MVA Lobby.  Arriving outside of the booking window? Please email AP by the Sea and call ahead to the USD Summer Camps and Conferences offices at (619) 260-4623. The USD  Summer Camps & Conferences office closes promptly at 8PM. If you cannot arrive prior to  8PM or worry about a delayed flight, please elect to stay in a hotel.

Check-out from 6:30 - 8:00AM on final day in the lobby of Manchester Village Apartments. Storage for luggage will be provided for those individuals who are not leaving immediately upon check-out, but keys must be turned in to the check-out site by 8AM. Residents who fail to turn in their keys at the time of check-out will be assessed a lost key charge of $40.00 and possibly an extra night’s lodging. You may also store luggage with us at Mother Rosalie Hill Hall (MRH). 

SHUTTLE SERVICES: The USD shuttle picks up at 7:20 from Manchester Village to dropping off at Pavilion Dining for breakfast.  The return shuttle from Mother Rosalie Hill Hall picks up at 4:15 leaving from Copely Circle (across the street from MRH).
