AP by the Sea welcomes you.  This year we are offering two on campus institutes Monday through Thursday: June 15-18 and July 6-9, and one online institute June 22-26.  Over 25,000 participants have attended AP® by the Sea since 1999.   Director Kris Auer, and Administrator Cindy Bisbal welcome requests for more information. Our faculty, likewise, will happily respond to your specific queries. The College Board offers AP teachers scholarships in 4 areas. Please visit our Tuition/USD Credit page  for specifics. Teachers who attend an AP Summer Institute should be able to:  

  • Understand the Course: The course framework defines the scope of the course and specifies what students must know and do to be successful on the AP Exam.
  • Plan the Course: Sequencing, pacing, and scaffolding are essential for building students’ understanding and their ability to transfer and apply knowledge and skills.
  • Teach the Course: Effective instructional strategies help students to develop a mastery of course content and skills over time.
  • Assess Student Progress and Understanding: Learning requires time, practice, and regular feedback.
