    • AP English Language Online - APSI @ Rutgers University
Now in its 24th year, the Rutgers AP English Language and Composition APSI will enable teachers to explore the course framework, the exam, and the new AP resources that are helpful in planning and focusing instruction that will provide feedback throughout the year on the areas where individual students need additional focus. Participants will also learn about completing the digital activation process at the start of the school year that will offer immediate access to the new resources and will help ensure that students can register for AP Exams by the new fall deadlines. By attending this APSI, teachers will gain deeper insight into understanding, planning, and teaching the course, as well as assessing student progress and engaging as a member of the AP Community. In addition, specific attention will be paid to the following AP Classroom resources: unit guides, personal progress checks, the AP question bank, and the AP teacher network. This APSI is appropriate for teachers who are new to the curriculum and for those who are experienced, but wish to expand the range of their teaching strategies and methods. We will spend part of our time placing ourselves in the position of our students, as well as developing effective lessons that promote close reading, rhetorical analysis, and argumentation and discussing syllabus requirements for the AP Course Audit. All participants should read Adam Greenfield’s book, Radical Technologies: The Design of Everyday Life, which will be mailed to you well in advance of the Institute. - APSI @ Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
