The Highest-Rated APSI in the West

Monday, July 13th Event Information

We have put together a general schedule for the week. Please note that this is an approximate schedule for the week. Your presenter reserves the right to change the schedule to fit their instructional needs. We strongly advise that you are available for instruction between 8:00am and 4:00pm MST each day. Your presenter will take attendance each day to ensure that everyone receives a 30-hour Certificate of Completion. Finally, sessions will not be recorded for later viewing. Participants may not record any portion of the APSI for later use per College Board policy.

This Zoom Guide will walk you through downloading Zoom, joining Zoom meetings, using Breakout Rooms, and general best practices when using Zoom. Zoom is free; you do not need a professional, paid account to participate.

Google Classroom

Presenters will organize and distribute session materials via Google Classroom. Google Classroom makes teaching more productive and meaningful by streamlining assignments, boosting collaboration, and fostering communication. Educators can create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place. Classroom also seamlessly integrates with other Google tools like Google Docs and Drive. Learn more on our Google Classroom one pager.

You can practice joining a Classroom by reviewing our How to Join a Google Classroom Guide. The guide will also walk you through how to create a Gmail account. Google Classroom only works with Gmail so please sign up for an account if you don't already have a professional or personal account. If you choose to not sign up for a Gmail account, you may have limited access to Google Classroom features.

Please find your session Google Classroom code, and join your Classroom!

Certificates of Completion

Certificates of completion will be emailed to you after the APSI. Please do not confuse certificates of completion with graduate credit hours. Unfortunately, we cannot offer graduate credit hours this year.

We will send Outstanding Balance emails on Monday, July 6th. If you receive that email, it is because we have not received payment from you or your school. Please forward that email to your billing contact. If you want to pay online via credit card, please visit our Payment Options page. If we do not receive your payment from July 6th you will not lose your spot in the training.

We have ordered College Board bundle materials for each of you. Please know that the College Board prints and ships the materials directly. We do not ship materials or have tracking information about where your materials might be. If you have not received your materials by July 13th, please let your presenter know on Monday morning so they can ensure you receive digital copies of the materials.

If you have questions, please read through our side pages and FAQ. If your question still isn't answered, please use our Contact Us form.

We're going 100% virtual!

We have made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person APSI. Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. However, we're excited to still see your faces on Zoom and Google Classroom this summer! All of our presenters will remain the same but we have changed the schedule and pricing. For more information on our updated schedule, reduced pricing and more, please visit all of our web pages to the left.

The Colorado Education Initiative (CEI) will host the College Board-certified Advanced Placement for All Summer Institute (APSI), where consultants will guide attendees through College Board resources such as course outlines, content-related handouts, scoring guidelines, and student samples. This one-of-a-kind training event provides AP teachers with the tools, strategies, and resources to ensure all students succeed — including those who aren’t top achievers, and students who are learning English or living in poverty.

AP educators from across the nation and around the world to will convene ONLINE to discover strategies, and resources to ensure all students succeed — including students typically underrepresented in AP courses such as students of poverty and color.

CEI will host the College Board-endorsed professional development event, where consultants will guide attendees through College Board resources such as course outlines, content-related handouts, scoring guidelines, and student samples.
