Tools You'll Use


Presenters will deliver content via Zoom. Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars. Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another's screens, all with one easy-to-use platform. Zoom is free. You do not need a professional, paid account to participate.

Getting Started

Please review our Participant Zoom Guide before the institute begins. This guide will walk you through downloading Zoom, joining Zoom meetings, using Breakout Rooms, and general best practices when using Zoom. For more information about Zoom and its many functionalities, please see the links we've provided below.

Zoom Help Center

Please visit the Zoom Help Center for video tutorials, live video tutorials, instructional articles, and other FAQs. Zoom also offers several Live Video Tutorials. They even offer a “Zoom Ask Me Anything” session where you can ask Zoom experts whatever you’d like.

Google Classroom

Presenters will organize and distribute session materials via Google Classroom. Google Classroom makes teaching more productive and meaningful by streamlining assignments, boosting collaboration, and fostering communication. Educators can create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place. Classroom also seamlessly integrates with other Google tools like Google Docs and Drive. Getting Started

Two weeks before the institute begins, we'll send you an email with instructions on how to join your session Classroom. You can practice joining a Classroom by reviewing our How To Join a Google Classroom guide. The guide will also walk you through how to create a Gmail account. Google Classroom works best with Gmail so we strongly recommend signing up for an account if you don't already have a professional or personal account. If you choose to not sign up for a Gmail account you may have limited access to Google Classroom features.

Classroom Help Center or the Google Classroom Help Community.

Recommended Hardware

We recommend participants have access to:

1. Reliable internet access;

2. A webcam to use the Video option in Zoom;

3. A reliable desktop or laptop computer; and

4. A quiet, well lit space in your school or home.

How do I un-register?

  • Visit our registration page
  • Click "Already Registered?" in the top right-hand corner
  • Enter the email address used during registration
  • Enter your confirmation number (you can find your confirmation number by clicking on "To have the Confirmation Number sent to you, click this link: Confirmation Number")
  • Click on the "Unregister" button. If you paid via credit card, you will receive an automatic refund on that card. If you paid via check, or were planning to, please email and let us know you've cancelled so we can return your check.

How will I receive my College Board bundle/binder?

In order to receive your physical College Board binder (includes all of the necessary materials you'll need during the institute week), you must provide your Personal/Home mailing address during the registration process. Binders will not be made available online.

How did the schedule change?

We have changed the schedule. The institute will now run Monday, July 13, 2020 through Friday, July 17, 2020. The addition of Friday was vital to ensure that you would receive 30 contact hours of instruction while also taking three long breaks each day. How did the pricing change?

We have reduced our registration price from $700.00 to $595.00. If you have already paid for your registration with a credit card, we will automatically refund that card $105.00. If you have paid via check, please respond to this email with the best contact and mailing address to send your refund. If you need a new invoice, please let us know at
