AP Educators Symposium at the China Forum

We are accepting session proposals for the AP Educators Symposium at China Forum 2026. This is a gathering place for educators, counselors, and international education leaders to exchange what is working, learn from one another, and advance the work of supporting students from secondary school through college and beyond.

We welcome proposals across three thematic tracks:

  • Multi-Destination College Application Pathways / 多元申请路径
  • Curriculum Integration and Implementation Best Practices / 课程融合与最佳实践
  • Employability and Career Readiness / 就业方向与职业准备

We are looking for sessions grounded in real practice and meaningful results — from curriculum strategies to college advising, career pathways, and community-based initiatives. If your work is creating better outcomes for students and families, we want to hear about it.

Submit your proposal by September 20, 2026, and be part of a program dedicated to shared learning and student success.

Preparing to Submit a Session Proposal

Before you begin your submission, gather the following so you can complete the form in one sitting:

Your Contact Information

  • Your name, title/主持人职位, and institution name & city/主持人所在单位
  • Email address and phone number (work or mobile)
  • Decide whether you're submitting as Submitter or Submitter and Speaker

Speaker Information (if different from submitter)

  • Name, title, and institution details for each speaker or panelist you plan to include

Your Session Details

  • Title (研讨标题) — 75 characters max, including spaces. Draft this ahead of time so it doesn't get cut off.
  • Description (研讨内容) — up to 1,500 characters explaining what your session covers
  • Learning Objective — up to 1,500 characters on what attendees will take away
  • Session Process — up to 1,500 characters outlining format and time allocation for each part

Session Classification  Have these three decisions made before you start:

  • Audience: K-12, Higher Education, or Both
  • Presentation Language: English or Chinese
  • Topic: Your session must fit into one of the following topics:
    • Multi-Destination College Application Pathways / 多元申请路径
      • Sessions that examine how schools are advising and preparing students applying to universities across multiple countries and regions using AP and SAT. Topics may include counseling models, student profile development, application timeline management, and how AP coursework is positioned and communicated across different admissions contexts. Panelists are encouraged to use student cases to demonstrate their approaches.
    • Curriculum Integration and Implementation Best Practices / 课程融合与最佳实践
      • Sessions that share practical approaches to integrating AP into existing school curricula, including alignment with various curriculum frameworks. Topics may include curriculum alignment and pathways, course selection strategy, managing program growth, and integrating multiple curriculum systems to optimize student development. Panelists are encouraged to showcase curriculum mapping for multiple grade levels.
    • Employability and Career Readiness / 就业方向与职业准备
      • Sessions that explore how schools are connecting AP experience to students’ college academic direction and career pathways. Proposals that include AP Career Kickstart courses — AP Business with Personal Finance and AP Cybersecurity — are especially welcome. Topics may include career exploration and planning integrated into AP coursework, aligning AP course selection with intended college majors and career goals, employer and industry partnerships, and student outcomes beyond university admission. Panelists are encouraged to showcase best practices and creative approaches.

Optional but Recommended

  • Supplementary materials (slides, program data, supporting resources) in Word, Excel, PDF, JPG, PNG, or PPT format — clearly labeled if submitting more than one file

💡 Tip: Drafting your title, description, learning objective, and session process in a separate document first will help you stay within character limits and avoid losing your work mid-submission.

How Proposals Are Reviewed

Reviewed by the College Board China Forum program committee, based on:

  • Relevance to the stated track and current challenges facing AP schools in the region
  • Practical grounding — preference for sessions anchored in real school experience or specific case examples
  • Participant engagement — sessions should facilitate exchange, not one-way content delivery
  • Clarity and specificity of the proposed discussion question or focus

What Facilitators Receive

  • Complimentary registration for the full China Forum 2026, including the AP Educators Symposium (Oct 16) and the main forum (Oct 17)
  • Facilitators cover their own travel and accommodation
