What if I have to miss a day or some hours during the week?

As a College Board sanctioned workshop, the number of hours (30) required for teachers to attend before a certificate of attendance can be awarded is pre-determined.  Please notify your instructor of any pending conflicts.

What is the deadline to register?

Registrations will be accepted until Monday, June 22 at 9:00am EST. 

If registered after Monday, June 1st, you will receive a digital copy of the CED.

Who are the presenters?

We work extremely hard to get the very best consultants for the West Michigan APSI.  Our consultants come highly recommended with excellent participant survey ratings!

Will SCECHs be offered?

Yes!  Upon completion of the APSI, you will receive 30 SCECHs.  Please fill out this FORM.

How do I apply for an AP Participant Grant?

The College Board is now accepting applications for AP Participant Grants through this LINK. 

I have applied for an AP Participant Grant, what do I do now?

If you are awarded an AP Participant Grant, the College Board will notify you with a Discount Code to complete your registration.

What is there to do in West Michigan?

Grandville is located in beautiful West Michigan!  A short 11 minute drive will bring you to the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, which has excellent dining and beer options (Founders Brewery), several museums, and plenty of arts and culture. We are also located less than one hour away from the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan!

What do I bring?

If your instructor requests specific session supplies, you will be emailed prior to the start of the class.  You will need a charged laptop or portable device to access digital materials.  All materials including the CED binder will be provided by Advanced Education Consultants LLC or your presenter.

Are guests allowed?

Only registered participants are allowed in the classrooms.  We do not provide facilities for guests, children or pets.

Are the buildings handicapped accessible?

All of the instructional spaces and dining locations that the AP Summer Institute utilizes on our campus are handicapped accessible.

What are the hours of the workshop?

Our workshops are Monday-Thursday, 8:00am - 4:15pm EST.  Participants will have a 45 minute lunch break.

Where do I park?

Free parking is provided at Grandville High School.

Where will my class be held?

All workshops will take place at Grandville High School.  Classroom assignments will be emailed out prior to the institute.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds will be issued for cancellations received in writing by June 1st.  No refunds will be issued after that date.  Substitutions from the same school or school district will be allowed five working days before the beginning of each institute with a completed registration form for each substitute.  Please contact our APSI Director, Angela VanHouten, (616) 446-9061 or angela.apbestpractices@gmail.com for more information. Cancellation Policy:

Advanced Education Consultants LLC reserves the right to cancel sessions when the required minimum enrollment is not met.

Can my family attend the AP Summer Institute?

No, this is a professional conference that cannot accommodate family members or pets.

How do I get my certificate?

Certificates will be emailed to participants once the required 30 hours of training is completed and all balances have been paid.
