Optional Academic Credit

Do you want to earn two units of academic professional development credit for your AP* workshop?

Sacramento State is offering 2 units of academic credit for those who meet the requirements of the APSI program, and complete an additional credit assignment.  There is a separate fee for academic credit of $130.  It is not included in your APSI registration and is not paid by school districts.

How?

  • A request form can be downloaded HERE.  Please contact Lisa Collins to submit your form, or if you have questions/need assistance.

Note: It is critical that you provide your correct legal name on your form in order to ensure that your transcript is accurate. Please do not use nicknames or diminutives.

  • You will be contacted with payment options and your Sac State student ID number.
  • Inform your workshop instructor that you are taking the course for academic credit. They will explain the additional assignment that is required.

Deadline to submit form:  12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Then what?

  • Your instructor will submit a grade of CR/NC within two weeks of the workshop.
  • A grade letter stating the number of units earned will be sent to your address on file.
  • To order an official transcript, contact the Registrar’s Office at (916) 278-5507 or https://www.csus.edu/student-life/records-transcripts/transcripts/.  Be sure to have them hold the transcript until summer grades have been posted.
