The 2026 Advanced Placement Summer Institute from Texas Tech Public Media and Region 17 Education Service Center offers new and experienced AP teachers the chance to grow and be inspired in their content area. Our College Board-endorsed institute brings together top-rated certified AP presenters, dedicated to helping you and your students succeed. This institute will take place in-person at the Region 17 ESC campus in Lubbock, Texas. Courses offered for 2026: AP Chemistry, English Language, Spanish Language, Statistics, and U.S. History. After attending this summer institute teachers will be able to:
- Align instruction with the goals of the specific AP course.
- Identify the skills and knowledge that the exam will assess, and identify the tasks and materials for which students might need more preparation.
- Draft a syllabus that meets the curricular requirements for the course.
- Make equitable access a guiding principle in designing instruction.
- Connect with other new and experienced teachers in your content area.
- Utilize new resources to enhance your instruction.
- Receive a certificate of completion.
