Earn a Digital Badge at our AP Summer Institute!
Register for the optional 3 units of academic credit ($150.) at this year's AP Summer Institute and earn a digital badge to showcase your achievement! This is a great opportunity to enhance your professional development and share your commitment to excellence in teaching.
Before teaching AP Seminar or AP Research for the first time, educators must complete a mandatory professional development program during the preceding summer. This foundational requirement ensures that every instructor is fully prepared to meet the unique rigorous standards of the AP Capstone™ program.
These intensive 30-hour workshops are designed to equip teachers with the specific pedagogical tools needed for success, focusing on interdisciplinary instruction and project-based assessment. By participating, educators gain practical strategies to better support student research and guide them through the complex academic requirements of the AP Capstone Program.
AP Capstone workshop sessions will be delivered online through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online learning. Virtual office hours, live check-in meetings, and synchronous group meetings will be scheduled via Canvas Conferences or Zoom. Coupled with our initiative toward environmental sustainability, we will be providing digital materials only.
