PWISTA Online One-Day In-Year Workshop, Saturday, October 3rd, 2026

These sessions provide comprehensive support on the AP Course and Exam Description (CED), including course planning, sequencing, and alignment with curricular requirements. Each section of the CED will be examined in depth, with an emphasis on making direct connections between course content, instructional practices, and College Board expectations.

Participants will explore instructional strategies designed to create an engaging and supportive AP classroom that meets the needs of a diverse range of learners. Discussions will focus on ways educators can expand student access to AP courses and encourage participation among all students, including those from underrepresented groups.

Participants will identify and explain a variety of instructional strategies and classroom tools that can be incorporated into lesson plans to effectively teach the content and skills outlined in the Course and Exam Description.

Participants will learn how to use student performance data from AP Classroom to strengthen instruction by reinforcing connections between course topics and the AP skills and practices. Examples will demonstrate how student data can be used to support lesson planning and monitor student progress.

Participants will also learn how to interpret the Instructional Planning Report to identify student strengths and areas for growth. Through guided discussions, educators will examine how to leverage AP Classroom data to make informed instructional decisions, reflect on student learning, and adjust teaching practices to improve outcomes.
