About Us

Mass Insight Education (MIE) is a non-profit organization founded in 1997. Its launch reflected the high priority that business, government, and education leaders placed at that time on the success of Massachusetts' nascent standards-based reform drive, set in motion by the Education Reform Act of 1993. MIE is the sister organization of Mass Insight Global Partnerships, which has worked since 1989 to keep Massachusetts globally competitive. Mass Insight Education has become a nationwide and statewide leader in the Commonwealth's education reform drive, and a provider of research and strategic consulting services. Now in its ninth year, the Summer Institutes have quickly become the leading professional development summer program in Massachusetts, with nearly 600 Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-AP teachers expected to attend this year! We are proud to announce our partnership with Bridgewater State University (BSU) to sponsor these Summer Institutes! The sponsorship continues and expands BSU's partnership with MIE, demonstrated by their continued academic collaboration and the leadership of BSU President, Frederick Clark Jr.

Bridgewater State University, the first permanently sited institution dedicated to the preparation of teachers in the commonwealth, recently celebrated its 175th anniversary. It has grown to become the largest state university in the Massachusetts public higher education system as well as the 10th largest college or university, public or private, overall in the state with more than 11,000 graduate and undergraduate students. The comprehensive state university in Southeastern Massachusetts, BSU annually graduates nearly 2,500 students in majors ranging from business to education to humanities to the sciences. Bridgewater has historically been, and continues to be, the largest preparer of new science and math teachers in the commonwealth. To learn more about Bridgewater State University:
